The project to rebuild Ashdown Technology College is underway. The first phase, a substantial new building will be ready in Summer 2012. The completion of the project and a complete refurbishment of the existing school building will be ready in 2013.

Virgin London Marathon 2012

A huge thank you to all students, parents/carers and staff for your support in my attempt to raise funds for CLIC Sargent (for children with cancer) by completing the 2012 Virgin London Marathon.

With sponsorship still rolling in, a total has not yet been calculated but all funds collected will be very much appreciated by a charity which plays a huge role in supporting young cancer sufferers and their families.

As I’m sure many of you saw on the BBC on Sunday 22nd April (and experienced by any of you who have previously taken part in the event) the sheer number of people along the course was quite amazing and their support helped me complete the run in 3hours 11minutes and 44seconds.

Prizes and certificates for highest individual fundraisers will take place in an upcoming assembly.

Once again, thank you for your support.
